Leading recruitment company Core-Asset Consulting has become the latest member of the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo). Core-Asset Consulting was established in 2005. Initially it made its reputation within Scotland’s asset management sector but the success of its model has allowed it to expand rapidly.

Based in Edinburgh, it has developed into the wider financial services market, built an accounting and finance team, established an interim, temporary and contract division, launched a vetting and on-boarding service, and expanded into the legal sector.

APSCo has been representing professional recruiters since 1999. It was formed to give all firms involved in the recruitment of professional talent that have a commitment to excellence, the specialist support and distinctive voice they need to be successful. It gives candidates and employers a trusted badge of quality whilst providing member firms with an innovative range of services designed for them by recruitment experts.

Ann Swain, CEO, APSCo, said: “APSCo is delighted to welcome Core-Asset Consulting into its membership. All of our members have to commit to a strict Code of Conduct and a rigorous, independently verified, referencing process that means that APSCo is a trusted badge of quality for candidates and employers. It’s not easy to become an APSCo member and the fact that Core-Asset Consulting embraced this process shows their commitment to excellence.”

Betsy Williamson (pictured), Managing Director of Core-Asset Consulting, said: “I’ve always admired the work down by APSCo, so I’m very pleased Core-Asset Consulting has become a formal member. The rigorous application process is a mark of the high standards APSCo expects from its members – high standards we share. In recent times, APSCo has become a powerful voice in the debate over how to improve gender diversity in the workplace, a topic we are very passionate about. It is also the only UK recruitment trade body with an international profile, which fits neatly with our growing success of attracting high-calibre candidates from overseas.”

Betsy concluded: “I’m looking forward to working with APSCo in the coming years. I’ve no doubt they will be an invaluable partner in improving still further the nature and scope of our recruitment services.”
